FTP stands for "file transfer protocol" which doesn't mean much except that you need a different sort of browser to get the files you're after. The 'anonymous' part just means you don't need an account to login. The reason we use FTP is: there are fewer errors during transfer, it is more server friendly - especially for large files like we're dealing with here - and, in the event there are problems, you can resume incomplete downloads instead of beginning all over again.
If you are already familiar with FTP then use the following information to login to the download server.
Address: 67.212.165.42 or ftp.thesmallhousehalfwayupinthenextblock.com or esc115.midphase.com or look up the IP address on network-tools.com.
Login: anonymous@thesmallhousehalfwayupinthenextblock.com
If you do not already have an ftp program, we recommend FileZilla. It is freeware and a very handy, reliable program. You may download it here preconfigured for your use: FileZilla_2_2_32.zip. (Alternately, you may check out more recent versions on the FileZilla home page as well as on sourceforge.net).
Extract the contents of the FileZilla_2_2_32.zip file wherever you want.

There is no install program. Just double click and go. (You can also make a shortcut to the desktop).

The Filezilla program will open, and the "site manager" will be on top.

Highlight the OTR site in the upper left corner and then click the 'connect' button at the bottom.

You will connect to the server.

If for any reason you become disconnected, you can bring up the "site manager" from the File menu or simply try the reconnect option.

You can also access the "site manager" from the toolbar.

And lastly, you can click the drop down arrow and connect directly to the server.

The main parts of the program are like so.

Click the tree
button on the toolbar to browse where you want to save your files.

Click the tree
button again to close the directory window so you have a better view of the program.
When connected to the server, you can browse to the files you want on the right side of FileZilla. You can then right click and select 'download', or you can pick and choose the files you want and add them one-by-one to the 'download queue'.

NOTE 1. Yes, you can select a folder and download everything in it all at one go.
NOTE 2. Files in the "mtm" folder are game files; they are NOT old radio programs. Please do not download anything from the mtm folder unless you plan to spend the next two years learning one of the most creative games ever made.
If you've used the queue, then, when you're ready, you can right click the queue and select "process queue" to begin downloading all the files you've selected. You can also initiate the transfer from the menu.

One file will transfer at a time until all are complete.

Click the disconnect
button to break the connection from the server when you are finished.
Once files are downloaded to your hard drive, you should use md5sum to verify the file(s) have not been corrupted during the transfer. If they are okay, then you can burn them to disk, or use Daemon Tools and use them straight from the hard drive.
